Betty Ann Martin
September 10, 1953 - January 10, 2022

BETTY ANN MARTIN-JOHNSON Born 9/10/1953 – Began her journey 1/10/2022. Betty lived a full life and called Jacksonville, NC her home. She grew up in Red Lake MN, and after graduating from Red Lake High School, Betty Ann enlisted in the U.S. Navy. She enjoyed cooking, reading, meeting & helping people, and most of all her favorite time in life was loving and caring for her children Jason & Ericca Hall.

Many knew her on Facebook through her Sonshine Jason’s page, she loved communicating with friends and relatives through her posts, messenger, and the games she liked to play. Betty was a kindhearted, caring, loving person, who cherished family and friends over everything else in life.

Betty Ann was born in Red Lake, MN to Gertrude Red Eagle and Thomas Johnson, Sr. Family that welcome Betty Ann to the Spirit World are her parents, Gertrude (Sam) Red Eagle and Thomas Johnson, Sr.; Son, Jason Hall; Daughter, Ericca Hall; Uncles: Jo Marv, Collins, Larry, Arlen & Harlan, John, Ted & Bill Oakgrove; Brothers: Francis Oakgrove, Sam & Howard Kitto; Sister, Rose Gibbs; nephews & niece, Lil John Johnson, Antonio Rodriquez, Elliot Tourville, Keenan Beaulieu, Jr., Mickey Lee Johnson, and many other relative who have passed on before her.

Betty is survived by her Granddaughters, Alexis, Chloe & Angela Hall; special daughter, Heather Linda Box; Brothers, Alvin & Tom Johnson, Joe, Jim, Bob, Elden RedEagle; Sisters: Linda Kitto, Sandy, Evelyn & Julie RedEagle and a special Sister Janice Oakgrove; Uncle, Pete Oakgrove and Aunt Agnes Smith. As well as many other family and friends.

Funeral services to be held at Redby Community Center at a date to be announced by the family. Interment will be in Fox Point Family Burial Redby, MN with Betty Ann’s family serving as honorary bearers.
