Please accept my deepest condolences in the loss of sweet Bobbie Jean. I graduated with her from Trinity Senior High. Bobbie Jean always stood out in a group! Tall, and lovely, it was her personality that drew people to her!! She and I were going to City Lake to go swimming one summer day, not long before school would start. I had just gotten my driver’s license, and my car was like a tank! A 1958 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight. A train could have hit us in that old thing and we would have come out without a scratch! So we were behind a really slow driver and we were in a hurry to hit that pool! Bobbie said, “oh just pass him Debbie!” I cut out around him, kicked that tank into passing gear, and I thought we would leave the ground!! I paid no attention to the fact that I passed using a turning lane. But the state trooper who saw me do it had paid really close attention!! LOL ! Got my first ticket 2 week in to having my license!! We didn’t let it spoil our day of swimming, but my daddy sure spoiled the next MONTH for me!! Grounded! AND I had to earn the money to pay the ticket off! I remember telling Bobby Jean when I saw the blue light behind us, ” oh my gosh Bobby Jane, there’s a cop behind me, and he’s pulling me over! “. I started crying and it was not fake ! She was a great girl. I loved hanging with her. I know your family will miss her immensely. You and yours will be in my prayers. :pray::skin-tone-2::pensive:
