Bonnie Hedrick Slate, 65, of Catawba, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Carolina Beach. Born January 1, 1957 in Conover, NC she was the loving wife of David Slate whom she was married to for 29 years, and the daughter of the late Guy Hedrick and Florence Dovie (Stallings) Hedrick. She was a loving homemaker for her husband and children. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the beach and camping.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Bobby Slate (Miranda Clemmons) of Conover, Angela Buff (John) of Claremont, Lisa Hughes of Catawba and Florence Slate (Daniel Gregory) also of Catawba; sisters, Becky Hedrick (Donald) of West Jefferson, Judy Garland (Richard) of Catawba and Mary Ann Hughes (Roger) of Conover; and her grandchildren, Corey and Brittany Buff. William and Brianna Boughner, Isaac and Cassie Gregory, Sierra and Emily Slate; and step-grandchildren, Gabby and Jaden Clemmons.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and announced by the family.
