January 18, 1930 – April 5, 2021 

Cammie was born on January 18, 1930 in Pulaski, Virginia and spent her childhood in Salem, VA. She graduated (1952) from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, where she met her husband of 60 years Robert K. Griffin Jr., who proceeded her in death in 2012. 

Cammie was a dedicated Math teacher and student mentor during her long teaching career in Pennsylvania and Delaware, before retiring to Wrightsville Beach, NC in 1993. However, Cammie’s most important roles were that of Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. 

Children are Cam Griffin of Wilmington, Ken Griffin (Becky) of Tampa, FL, Gus Griffin (Marie Louise) of Playa Del Rey, CA, and daughter Helen Johnson (Eric) who preceded her in death in February 2021. She is also survived by her sister Donnie Gilbert of Cleveland, OH in addition to her 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A brother Courtland Spotts preceded her in death. 

Cammie was a member of St Therese Catholic Church in Wrightsville Beach where, due to COVID restrictions, a small family only funeral mass will be held.
