Candace Bradford, born on June 15, 1981, in Terrebonne Parish, LA, passed peacefully on May 25, 2024, in Calabash, NC, at the age of 42. Her life, though seemingly humble, was inspirational to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Candace worked as a cashier at Food Lion in Calabash for four years, where she greeted every customer with a warm smile and an open heart. Her genuine interest in people and her unwavering work ethic left a lasting impression on many whose paths she crossed.
In her spare time, Candace found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed watching crime shows, which sparked her curiosity and kept her entertained. A routine stop at Starbucks was a small but cherished ritual, where she would savor her favorite beverages and perhaps indulge in a quiet moment of reflection. However, it was her family that truly brought her the greatest happiness. She loved spending time with her daughter, Tiffany Lance, and was always there to share laughter, love, and support.
Candace was preceded in death by her father, Almer Lance. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Tiffany Lance; her devoted mother, Regina Burlingane, and her mother’s husband, David, who lovingly raised Candace as his own child. Also mourning her loss are her brothers, Gerald, Steve, David, and Timothy. They will forever remember her as a beacon of kindness and love.
A balloon release will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, for family, friends, and anyone touched by Candace’s spirit to come together and celebrate her life. The sight of the balloons rising into the sky will serve as a beautiful reminder of her ascent to peace and her everlasting presence in our hearts.
Candace Bradford’s legacy is one of warmth, love, and an enduring commitment to family. Though she may no longer be with us, her spirit lives on in the memories and hearts of those who knew and love.
Arrangements in the care of Coastal Cremation Carolina Shores.
