On September 4th, 2022, Christine (Chrissy) Lynn VanCleave earned her wings and is now with her angels. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 9, 1966, and was 56 years old.
Chrissy was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) VanCleave, her father, Ralph (Brad) Bradley, her mother, Edith Jenzano, her stepfather Tony Jenzano, her brother Ralph Bradley, and her sister, Jaquelynn (Jackie) Longeill.
She leaves behind the most important people in her life, her children Crystal VanCleave, Stefanie Cottle, Ernest (Jack) VanCleave, and Stefanie and Jack’s father Jeff Cottle. She is also survived by her precious grandsons, her brother, Glen Bradley, and her many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Chrissy will always be remembered as the incredibly thoughtful, kind, funny, loud, no-holds-barred person that she was, and that everyone adored. Her love for music and parties allowed her to make many friends with ease. Her most treasured memories are of riding her horses, meeting her best friends, Patty Harts, Robin Gerard, and Diana Berthod. Spending time in Carolina Beach with her children and family was important to her.
While Chrissy’s family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember Chrissy in a way that honors her spirit. Her children Crystal, Stefanie, and Jack invite the community to join them in a Celebration of Life. It will take place at 821 McMillan Ave. Wilmington, NC 28403. Sunday, October 9th at 2 pm.
