David Wayne Heward, 57, of Holly Ridge, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. A native of Liberty, NY, he was the son of Ellen Goldstein Heward and the late Thomas Heward. He was the owner and operator of Happy Hookers Towing and Recovery. In his spare time, you would find him working on old cars, especially classics. He had a passion for motorcycles; he enjoyed fishing and traveling as well.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancé, Stacy Pelc; children, Bridget West, Jennifer Hickman, Kelly Best, Jacob Heward and Emily Heward; step-children, Autumn and Tabitha Orlich; sister, Andrea Hydock; niece, Alyssa Heward; 7 Grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Heather Brogdon; sister, Julie Heward; and niece, Melissa Heward.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date and announced by the family.
To know David is to know how much he cherished his family, he was a loving father and son who enjoyed spending time with them and making memories. He was an all-around fun-loving guy who was usually the jokester in the crowd. He will be forever missed by all who were lucky to know him.
