Deborah Rivenbark Floyd
September 17, 1962 - March 21, 2024

On March 21, 2024, Deborah Rivenbark Floyd, 61, was welcomed into Heaven by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:8).

She was born to Norwood and Priscilla Honeycutt in Williamsburg, VA. Deborah married her best friend and the love of her life, Tex Floyd, in 2018. She was so thankful to God for their relationship and for the time that they had together. In addition to her husband, Tex, she leaves behind a family that also adored her: her children in love, Angel, Rusty, Byron, Lori; her grandchildren in love, Paige, Caleb and Lily; her mother, Priscilla Honeycutt Fields; her brother and lifelong friend, Rodney (Melissa);nieces, nephew, great-nieces and great-nephew.

Deborah had a kind and loving spirit with a heart for missions and serving others. She looked for the good in every situation and believed Romans 8:28 – “We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Deborah was a Certified Life Coach and Christian Counselor. She impacted the lives of many people by serving in the local church and by facilitating Grief Share and Divorce Care classes. Deborah was also the Executive Director of the Life Line Pregnancy Center, a ministry that provides support for those impacted by an unplanned pregnancy. She loved, and counted as family, the Volunteers, Staff and Board of Directors at Life Line.

After her diagnosis, Deborah did what she had done her entire life, she focused on the positive and made the most of every day that she had been given. She fought the good fight, she finished the race, and she kept the faith with joy and peace.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Freedom Baptist Church, 802 N. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28405, with the Celebration of Life Ceremony to follow at 12 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Life Line Pregnancy Center, 4522 Fountain Drive Wilmington, NC 28403. www.lifelinepartner.org

A life well lived! We won’t know until we get to heaven the real impact she made for the Kingdom! And to think how many lives she had a hand in saving! Deb, your light shown so brightly! When we looked at you, we saw Jesus! Such a big loss for the community. May the Lord bless and comfort your family.

Through my association with Life Line, I came to know and had the privilege to work with Deb over the last five years. Her legacy will live on in her family, in the continuing work of Life Line and in the hundreds of families she directly impacted through her leadership there. Thank you God for the gift of Deb’s bright smile and gift of encouragement which I will never forget.
