  Dee was a part of the heart of Southport. She and Boyce helped make Southport the sweet southern town that everyone loved. Dee was the first real “local” I met when I came to town in February 2007. She helped me open a new business in her former Shell Shop space. She knew the retail scene in Southport and gave me invaluable direction starting a new venture. She worked with me during those start-up months when I was totally lost. Dee was a great friend and confidant to me ever since I first met her. I doubt Southport will be the same without her and I know I won’t either.
