Donald Anthony Batchelor, better known as Don, 70, of Jacksonville, passed away, Saturday, January 8, 2022. A lifelong resident of Jacksonville, he was the son of the late Rudolph Batchelor and Addie Toler Batchelor. He attended Jacksonville High School and Pembroke State University where he was a proud member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was an Automotive Executive for 50 years. In his spare time, he loved spending time with his family and telling stories; he was definitely the life of the party. He also loved to eat!
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Elizabeth “Cammie” Smith (Steven) of Richmond, VA and Stacy Bierma of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Mary Milam Bierma, Joshua, Lauren and Jacob Smith; brothers, Dan Batchelor (Cathie) and Dail Batchelor; niece Krissy Kinker (Rob), Emma Kinker, and nephew Steven Batchelor.
A private service will be held at a later date.
To know Don, is to know how loyal and very reliable he was. He was a hard worker and had a great sense of humor. Don loved people and was a friend to everyone.
