Dorothy Virginia Near 96, passed away Tuesday January 31, 2023 at her residence.
She was born September 18, 1926 in Jamestown, NY the daughter of Franklin and Laura Johnson.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Newell Near; son David Near and sister Marjorie Hadman. She is survived by her daughter Debra Tresohlavy (Ronald); 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Dorothy was a member of Westfield NY Presbyterian Church where she participated in many women’groups. She loved flowers and the beauty of outdoors. Birds were special to her especially the Red Cardinal. Dorothy was a wonderful cook and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and knitting.
