Edward Marsden Roberts

June 12, 1970 – January 13, 2023

Eddy passed away January 13, 2023 at the age of 52. He was born in Wilmington, NC on June 12, 1970.

He is survived by his father Bobby Roberts(Karen), mother Marcia Kennedy(Greg), his son Luke Roberts, Luke’s Mom, Sandra Roberts, sisters Angie Roberts(Jay) and Becky Roberts, and niece Abby Guevara.

Additional family members include Aunt June Brown(David), Aunt Carol Rosen(Jay), Uncle Jerry Roberts(Joy), Aunt Sherry Gardner, as well as several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his nephew Shane Jordan and Uncle Ranny Gardner.

Eddy was a 1988 graduate of Laney High School and earned an Economics degree from UNCW in 1992. He went to work at the family business, Roberts Auto Glass, immediately after college working with his Dad, Bobby. He eventually took over the business in 2003 and owned the business until 2018. Eddy served as a Sunday School teacher, a Boy Scout leader and served on several mission trips to Accra, in Ghana, Africa. Eddy was a fan of the outdoors, especially being near or on the water. He loved boating, fishing and surfing. He also enjoyed camping and deer hunting.

A celebration of life will be held at First Christian Church, 2035 Oleander Dr., in Wilmington, NC on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1pm.
