On April 11, 2022, Farriel Ryan Britt passed away peacefully at his home in Oak Island NC. He was 75 years old.
Farriel is survived by his son, Martin Britt and his spouse Shelly, daughter, Holly Weber Britt and his grandchildren, Alexis, Olivia, and Ethan.
He was preceded in death by his brother Frank Britt.
Farriel was born on March 25, 1947, in Lumberton, NC. He graduated from Scotland High School and joined the US Air Force with further deployments to Vietnam. Always living by his own terms and hard work, Farriel made his way in life with self-reliance as an EMT, Blacksmith, and Welder. Husband to a few, father to some, friend or mentor for many, and veteran for all. He loved the outdoors, whether it was drag races, fishing, hotrods, horses, hunting, and teaching his children to hunt, fish, and camp. There was always an activity to be experienced outside and not inside. He was an artist in steel creating beautiful handmade items as small as rings to large ornate gated entryways fit for castle grounds. His greatest achievement was seeing his children and grandchildren grow strong.
At Farriel’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. Instead, he wishes his ashes to be spread at a location that is very significant to him. We will be holding this event on a date and location in the near future and will welcome all who would like to attend. Condolences may be sent via the obituary website or email to mbritt275@hotmail.com.

We were so sorry to hear about Farriel. He was a fine welder that went above and beyond to do a good job. More then that he always had a positive attitude even when facing troubles. He was a good neighbor and friend. He will be missed by us both.
