Henry Bayly Johnson III, 80, of Oak Island, NC died Sunday, May 3, 2020 at home after a long battle with cancer and diabetes.
Bayly was originally from Cockeysvile, MD and graduated from John’s Hopkins University with honors. He retired to Oak Island in 2002, after years of working with Black & Decker, Purolator, and Arvin Meritor, as industrial plant management. He was also a teacher at Southeast Christian Academy in, Shallotte, NC. He was a member of the International Hot Rod Association, and NHRA Championship Drag Racing Member.He was also a member of Bridge of Life Church in Leland.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn “Jeanie” Johnson, two Daughters, Jenifer Johnson Barnes (Pete) and Jennifer Biggs Moore (Andy), two Sons, Jamie Johnson and Jason Biggs (Julie). nine grandchildren, Madalene Barnes, Samuel Barnes, Allison Johnson Fink, Corey Johnson, Jayna Biggs, Jake Moore, Emma Jean Biggs, Poppy James Biggs, and Jace McKenney. three great-grandchildren Caden Johnson, Cameron Johnson, and Oaklyn Fink. Sister, Hannah Rodewald (Lynn) a niece, Wendy Kroll (Bill).
A private family Celebration of Life will be held.
