Chris was preceded  in death by his father Calvin Player and both sets of grandparents. A Sister in Law Laurie Player.  He leaves behind his Mother Mary Sanders, sisters Bonnie Justice, Ellen Parker (Jerry), Kristi McLemore (Mac), brothers and best friends Tommy Player and Robbie Player.

He leaves behind nephews Michael Parker (Taylor and Logan),Miller McLemore, Chase McLemore nieces Amy Justice (Gage, Drake, Joshalyn, Aryla), April Justice (Hannah), 2 Stepbrothers Mike Sanders (Laurie) and Tommy Sanders Jr.  Aunt Beth and Uncle Mike Peterson, Aunt Shirley Cabrera, Uncle Robert Gross (Aunt Shirley), Aunt Lurline Hahn. Lots of cousins from Florence S.C, Morehead City, New Bern, Beaufort NC., Memphis, TN.

Chris has lived in Lake Forest For the last 20 Plus years where he worked for a lot of the members.  Chris was loved by them all.

Chris was a humble, hard working man who put everyone else first, his family, his friends and co-workers benefitted from his humble nature.  He was a man with a simple kind heart that reached out to everyone with humility, and love.  He was truly a cornerstone for his family.  Chris was a hard worker and a talented one too.  But Chris worked as hard from his heart to help others.  As he did driving a nail or unclogging a pipe.

He was CHRIS simple, humble, straight up, no nonsense, no drama.  We would like to thank all the staff at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.  A special thank you to Wayne Holley for his support during this time.  Also, special thank you to Nancy, Robin and David for supporting the family of Chris.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 13, 2024 at Lake Forest Baptist Church fellowship Hall from 2pm-5pm.
