James Ray Hopkins
September 2, 1975 - July 29, 2020

James Ray Hopkins was born on September 2, 1975 in McRae, GA and died suddenly on July 29, 2020 in a car wreck while traveling back to his home on Oak Island, NC from work.

James is survived by his wife Carey, his mother Regina (Art) Coffee, brothers Bay (Misty) Roberson and Daniel (Britney) Hopkins, two children Abigail Ruth Hopkins and Joshua James Hopkins. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Ray Hopkins.

James loved working with his hands and laid tile in Southeastern NC. He was known around his home as “the tile guy.” James loved God and his family, he always enjoyed a good laugh.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be planned at a later date.

    While I never had the pleasure to meet James, I am friends with his Mom Regina. I know without a doubt how much she loves her family and the tremendous loss she felt at Jame’s passing. May the Lord comfort all that loved him and give you peace in knowing that you will see each other in eternity.
