Jana Holtvoigt of Wilmington, NC passed away peacefully at home on January 4th, 2024.
She is survived by her husband Jim, son Andrew (Nicole), daughter Abbey (Richie), siblings Greg (Robin), Gary (Christine), Christopher (Michael), as well as many wonderful friends and coworkers.
Jana worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years. She touched countless lives throughout her career, but her most treasured role was being a mother. She never hesitated to offer help to anyone in need, whether that was a hot meal or a listening ear.
In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and furbabies, watching Food Network and cheering on the Carolina Tarheels.
Private services will be held. Donations made in lieu of flowers will be used to honor Jana’s favorite cause: Pender Pets ( Pender County Animal Rescue)

Jana, you have left a huge whole in so very many hearts and the earth. You’ve also left a beautiful legacy with your loving and caring children who also make the world a much better place. You were a dedicated, caring and loving nurse who touched and help heal so very many bodies and provide the comfort so desperately needed. You were a quietly wonderful wife, mom, sister, niece, and friend. I’ve learned a lot about Grace and acceptance from you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my niece and also a great friend. You are loved and missed by your husband children and their partners, brothers, other family, friends, patients, and co-workers. I love you Jana.
James, I was saddened when I heard of Jana’s passing. She was always so kind, such a special person and a wonderful nurse. Special blessings and prayers for your and your family. To say that she will be missed is not enough to ease your pain or make this any less difficult, I am sure. May God give you strength. I know she is finally resting without any pain or suffering. Jana , I was very sorry to hear of your passing. You were a good person. I always enjoyed your company when you lived in Vegas you had a great personality and one hell of a cook and I know right now you are with Jesus you will be sorely missed 🙏
