Janusz was born on September 26, 1959, to Leszek Ochota, M.D., and Elisabeth Bapst Ochota, who both preceded him in death. He graduated from Towson State University in Maryland with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Business and Philosophy. Janusz went on to earn an R.N. in nursing, and practiced psychiatric nursing at Shephard and Enoch Pratt Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, as well as other facilities. He then earned his Master of Science degree and taught Computer Science at Frostburg State University in Maryland. Janusz went on to earn his Doctor of Science degree in Computer Systems from the Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA.
Janusz loved the beach, fishing, cooking, classical music and literature, and had a passion for philosophical debate. His ashes will be interred near his parents in a private ceremony in St. Michaels, Maryland at a later date.
The family would especially like to thank Duke University Hospital for their care and expertise as well as the Lower Cape Fear Hospice-Wilmington for their sincerity, care, attentiveness, and diligence in making it possible for Janusz to live his best life until the end.
