John Allan Hill died on the night of Sunday, September 4th, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center near his hometown of Carolina Beach, NC. He was born November 27, 1947.
Allan worked as a lifeguard prior to attending NC State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Operations in 1976. He later worked in IT/Programming.
He is survived by brother David Hill; daughters Maggie Hill of Fairbanks, Alaska and Charis Hill of Sacramento, CA; and two sons.
Allan was 68 years old.

I grew up with Allan and have known him since 1st grade. I was saddened to hear of his death as we reconnected on FaceBook a few years ago. I wish I could have been at his funeral service. My condolences to David (as he will remember me also) and the Hill family.
