John Joseph Skrutskie Jr.
“Big John,” 61, of Shallotte, NC, died at home on Friday, May 19, 2017. He was a self-employed builder, and owner of Creative Additions. He loved music, playing his guitar, and watching his collection of movies.
John was predeceased by his father, George W. Booze; mother, Dorothy Booze; mother-in-law, Betty-Jane Pinto; and grandson, Justin Turbeville.
Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Donna Skrutskie; his brothers, Wayne “Bro” Booze, George Booze and Jimmy Booze; his sisters, Marlene Cosand and Rose Larkin; and his sister-in-law, Joan Duckers. He also leaves behind son, Sean Johnson; daughter, Carly Turbeville; son-in-law, Donnie Turbeville; daughter Shannon McKenna; son, Frankie Barnes; and daughters, Patricia, Stacy, Robin, Dorothy, Lisa, and Jennifer; as well as his grandchildren: Austin, Connor, Katelyn, Dominic, Bria, Mahlee, Ethan, Elizabeth, Haley, Lillyanna, Frank and Abby; and his nephew, Wayne Booze.
There will be a “Celebration of Life” for family and friends scheduled at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of Coastal Cremations.
