John Michael “Mickey” Miller, 59, passed away September 3, 2022 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, N.C.
John was born to John W. Miller (deceased) and Barbara Atkinson Miller on October 22, 1962 in Raleigh, N.C. From there, he lived in Georgetown, SC; Pine Bluff Arkansas; Savannah, Georgia; and then moved with his family to Wilmington.
He was the proud father of one daughter, Sarah Katherine Miller. He is survived by a brother David W. Miller, a niece Amanda M. Johnson, and three nephews; Jarrett Miller, Camber Miller, and
Ryder Miller.
He loved the ocean and spent years on boats fishing and shrimping. Much of his adult life was spent in Carolina Beach, where he had many friends.
Visitation will be September 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Masonboro Baptist Church, 1501 Beasley Road, Wilmington, N.C. in their activity center.

May he rest in peace. I spent time with Mickey with my dad Allen Hines working on my project boat and there was never a dull moment. He always had me in stitches. I will miss him.
