
Jonathon Michael Bunner of Hampstead, NC passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2019 at the age of 43. Jon was born in Petoskey Michigan on December 17, 1975. Jon graduated from James F Byrnes High School on June 2, 1994 in Duncan SC. He then joined the United States Marine Corps on April 4, 1996 as an Aircraft Electrical/Instrument Flight Control Systems Technician, Helicopter, INA where he earned a Rifle Expert Badge, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Mast, Letter of Appreciation. At the time of his passing he was employed with Field Core as a Reactor Service Technician. Jon was survived by his wife Renee of 20 years; his two children Holley, 12 and Jameson, 7 his parents Hartzel Bunner (Beth Bunner) of Lyman SC and Linda Bunner (Ed Owens) of Inman SC, father in Law Tim Ward (Debbie) of Wilmington, brother in law’s Andy Holley (Janna) and Justin Holley (Lorraine) of Hampstead, nephew’s Alex, Hunter and Aaron Holley of Hampstead, nieces Mackenzie and Madison Holley of Hampstead, niece Christin Bunner of Arcadia SC, and great niece Skylyn Rodgers of Boiling Springs. He is preceded in death by his brother Chris Bunner, and mother in law Diane Ward. Jon was a loving husband, a good Daddy, the best son anyone could have, a brother in law that couldn’t have been hand picked, an awesome uncle and a good friend. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
