Julie Anne Hopkins of Jacksonville, NC passed away on September 30, 2017 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Ms. Hopkins was born on December 31, 1941 in Ithaca, NY to the late Constance and Gordon Starke.
Julie was the oldest of five children. She is preceded in death by her brothers Bill and Tim, sister Florence, her first husband Frank H. Payne, daughter Deborah Lynn Trainer, granddaughter Julie Payne Smith and her grandson Chad Brooks.
Julie is survived by her brother David Starke, her children Brenda A. Smith, April L. Kasch, Frank A. Payne, Scott Hopkins, Janet Nickell, Cathy Brooks Brewer and Jeff Hopkins. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren in which she lives through.
Her greatest loves during her earthly life were family, bowling, bingo and church.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at First Baptist on Gumbranch Rd. Jacksonville, NC. Family will receive friends starting at 9 AM with a service to follow at 10 AM. The family asks that you join them at 102 Aspen Lane in Jacksonville to continue celebrating Ms. Hopkins life. Covered dishes are welcomed.

She will be laid to rest with her husband Truman Hopkins at a later date.
