Kevin E. Popp, Sr.
July 3, 1968 - April 13, 2024

Kevin Edmund Popp, Sr., of Hubert, NC, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the age of 55. Born on Wednesday, July 3, 1968, in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late Gerard “Jerry” Popp and Karyl Klee.

Kevin, the Owner and Operator of his own construction company, K.P. & Sons Contracting and Remodeling, poured his heart and soul into every project he undertook. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were unmatched, earning him respect and admiration from his customers.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Kevin found joy in home projects and being a handyman, always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Prior to moving to NC in 2019 to be with his daughter, he resided in Averill Park, NY where he made lasting memories with his loved ones.

Kevin is survived by his children: Kevin Popp, Jr. of Hubert, Amanda Popp (Matthew) of Hubert, Joseph Popp (fiancé, Kaitlin) of Averill Park, NY and Emily Popp also of Averill Park, NY. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Cadence, Carter, and Avery Popp. Kevin is further survived by his sister, Suzanne Bell (Dan) of Averill Park, NY, several nieces and grand-nieces, as well as the mother of his children, Terri Harrison-Ashley.

Kevin was outgoing, spoke his mind with honesty and sincerity, and was protective of the ones he loved. He had a heart as big as his smile. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

To honor Kevin’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
