Lee Edward Brown, Jr., treasured brother, uncle, and friend to many, was taken home by the Lord on October 4, 2024 while at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.
He was born on May 4, 1959 to parents Lee & Mary Dixon Brown, both of whom preceded him in death. Lee was raised in Warsaw, North Carolina and graduated from James Kenan High School in 1977. He attended NC State University and studied mechanical engineering until an illness interrupted his education.
Lee retired from a career as an A/V Tech with the Duplin County School System and loved his co-workers. He was also involved with the Duplin County Veterans Museum in Warsaw and participated in countless Veterans Day parades. He was recently honored as a Director Emeritus of that organization.
He was a lifelong resident of Warsaw, but also loved his second home on the water in Sneads Ferry, NC, which he referred to as his “little slice of heaven” and is where he spent many weekends and had many friends. Lee is survived by his brother, Al, nephew, Marshall, andniece, Camilla.
A celebration of life service will be held on October 20 th at 2pm at Warsaw Baptist Church, 209 E. College St., Warsaw, NC, followed by visitation with the family in Powell Hall.
