Linda Parker Henderson, 78, of Wilmington passed away peacefully September
2 nd , 2022 surrounded by her family. She was known to all as “Nana” and was born
in Onslow County on February 14, 1944 to the late James and Dorothy Parker.
Surviving are her sisters Cathy Fillinger(Rick),Cindy Woolard(Mark), and brothers
Larry Parker(Brenda),Tommy Parker, and was preceded in death by her brother
Rev. Ronnie Parker(Linda).
Linda is survived by her husband and sweetheart of 60 years Earl Henderson
and their daughters Kim Sarmiento(Andre), Sharon Howard, and Allison Mathous;
6 grandchildren; James, Matthew(Kim), Joshua, Melinda, Catlin and Alaina; 4
great grandchildren; Elijah, Elizabeth, Lila, and Madelyn and many other family
and friends.
Linda “Nana” was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She
adored her family and loved her Jesus. She was dearly loved by all who knew her
and she will be sorely missed.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Wilmington Hospice
Care Team for the wonderful care and support received.
The family will receive friends and family in a Celebration of Life Sunday
September 25 th 2pm-5pm at Hampstead Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wilmington Hospice in memory of
Linda Henderson.

sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no
hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God
will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
