Margie Scott Morris
December 13, 1939 - July 6, 2022

Margie Morris, fondly known as Nana, was born on Dec. 13, 1939, in Asheboro, N.C. She was preceded in death by her parents Alton and Mazie Jordan, and her oldest daughter Tina Scott, who is survived by her husband, David Adams Nana is survived by her two children, Jimmy Scott and Tara Scalf of the home.

Nana loved being around her family and friends as often as possible. Her most precious hobby was her grandkids, and the special relationship she shared with each one. She is survived by her grandchildren, Chris (Matt) Sowers, Jessica (TJ) Trott, Austin Watson, Jordan Scott, Brandon (Stephanie) Sawyer.

Nana was fortunate enough to welcome five great- grandchildren into her world.

Margie loved crafting, she was very proud of the unique and personal floral arrangements that she created. She was well known for her memorable and unusually decorated Christmas trees. Each year she chose a theme and went above and beyond on the decoration presentation. Nana was well loved by those who knew her and she had a heart of gold. She was very comical, and enjoyed a good clean joke or a harmless prank. One of her favorite pastimes was cruising yard sales with her best friend Dink. Margie was an avid animal lover. Throughout her lifetime she raised several breeds of cats and dogs. Not one to follow the norm, she built a family of pets that included skunks, and goats that had a habit of head butting her for attention. Margie’s most unusual pet was a Woolly Monkey, that she took great joy in dressing as a baby.

Margie lived a full and happy life, dedicated to the Lord. Following a lengthy illness, Nana met her savior with her daughter Tara and Granddaughter Jessica by her side on July 6, 2022.

After a private cremation. Services for Margie “Nana” Morris will be held Friday, July 15, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at Castle Hayne AC Church located at 2710 Hermitage Rd. Fellowship in the church hall will follow the services .
