Melva Jean Hancock Geney, 64, of Richlands, passed away January 5, 2021. A native of Pittsburg, she was born on August 1, 1956 to the late Elmer Eugene McIntyre Rose Marie Ledergerber. She was the widow of Terry Lane Hancock whom she was married to for 17 years. She was a loving homemaker for her 9 children who were her pride and joy. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music, cook and baked, the Pittsburgh Steelers, but most of all, her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Jenny (Christena) of Texas, Mary (Phillip) of NC, Deanna and Lacey both of the home, Mariya of NC; sons, Michael (Katie) of FL, Ace, Triston, and Aiden all off the home; sisters, Sandy Haberman (Harry) of WV and Wendy Corso McMillen of PA; brother, Johnny McIntyre (Donna) of TN; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; many friends, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded her in death by her sisters, Roseanne Barr & Anne Marie McIntyre.
A private service will be held at a later date.
