Merlin Luther Hamen,80, of Carolina Shores passed away Tuesday April 5, 2022 at Embrace Hospice in Myrtle Beach, SC, surrounded by his loving family.
Merlin was born July 30, 1941 in Luckey, Ohio to his parents, Norman and Agnes Hamen, who preceded him in death, he was also preceded by a brother, Glenn Hamen .
Merl and Jessie were married in February 1989 in Clawson, Mi. He has a master’s degree in Engineering from University of Toledo. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Magicians.
He is survived by his loving wife Jessie (June) Amelia Hamen, daughters, Jae Wittreich (Ben), Debby Jarvis (Mike) and Sharon Edwards, sons Eric Hamen (Melissa) and Neil Hamen (Angela). Grandchildren Anthony Hamen, Daniel Hamen, Maggie Hamen, Christian Hamen, Sidney Hamen, Quinn Hamen, Ashleigh Rix, Courtney Clem, Tyler Jarvis, Jennifer Warner (Chris), Taylor Edwards, Kelley Cox, Shawn Smith Kyle Smith. Great-grandchildren, Graham Rix, Charleigh Rix, Abigail Clem, Morgan Clem, Logan Kowalski, Aidan Montgomery, Camrin Warner, Carson Warner, Andrew Smith, Leo Smith.
There are Hamen’s throughout the United States and magic friends along the way and family friends that were always close.
Merl will be truly missed and forever loved by all that knew him.
