MSgt. Patrick Thomas O’Brien
January 1, 1989 - February 11, 2020

MSgt. Patrick O’Brien, 38, passed away quietly at home February 11, 2020, surrounded by his loving wife and family.

He is survived by wife Michele, daughters Madyson, Ashley, son Ryder O’Brien of Camp Lejeune, NC, son Daniel O’Brien of Florida, and daughter Courtney O’Brien of Raleigh, NC.

Arrangements are in the care of Coastal Cremations and Funeral Care, 441 Center Street, Jacksonville, NC.

    I learned of MSgt. O’Brien through seeing him in video footage of some of his heroic actions in the battle of Fallujah. Fifteen years later, I returned as a soldier in that same fight. I have the utmost respect for this man, his family, and the Marines he served with and led. Thank you for your sacrifice, brother, I will always honor your memory.
