Patricia Clifton, of Carolina Shores, NC born on September 20, 1944, in Hazelton, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, in Little River, South Carolina, at the age of 80.
Patricia dedicated her life to caring for others, spending her entire career as a Registered Nurse at Beverly Nursing Home in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Her compassionate nature and dedication to her profession touched the lives of many patients and colleagues throughout her years of service.
In 2008, Patricia with her husband, John moved to Carolina Shores, North Carolina, where she continued to pursue her love of gardening, tending to both vegetables and her cherished roses. She also enjoyed solving puzzles, finding joy and satisfaction in each completed challenge.
A devoted member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Shallotte, North Carolina, Patricia was known for her kind spirit and unwavering faith. Her presence within the church community will be deeply missed.
Patricia is preceded in death by her beloved son, Chad Joseph Clifton, and her sisters, Rosie and Ann. She leaves behind her loving husband, John Clifton, and her daughter Jacqueline Marie, along with Jacqueline’s husband, Jason Schad, of Silver Lake, Kansas. Patricia’s legacy continues through her grandsons, Jeffery Schad of Kansas and Bodin Clifton of Washington, D.C., who will forever cherish her memory. She is also survived by her sister, Frances Storm, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
A mass in remembrance of Patricia will be held at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Shallotte at later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and bid farewell to a remarkable woman whose love and kindness will never be forgotten.
