Penelope “Penny” N Wright, 64 of Wilmington, NC passed away on July 17, 2024 in her home. Born on January 3, 1960 in Detroit, MI to parents Stella (Karloutsos) Pappas and Nicholas Futris. Pennys greatest accomplishment in life was being a mother and raising Kristen and Stephen. They were her life’s mission. Family was the most important thing to her and she enjoyed spending time with family any chance she could.
Penny loved entertaining and having get togethers. She was an amazing cook, caregiver and plant enthusiast. Her love for the outdoors was evident in everything she did, inspiring those around her to appreciate the beauty of the natural world. Sitting by the ocean, toes in the sand with a book in her hand was one of her favorite places to be.

Her grandchildren, Andrew, Travis, Sarah, Austin, Zyler, Thaddeus, Declan and many nieces and nephews. Penny is proceeded in death by three siblings Tommy Futris, Olga Mancuso, and Nick Futris.
