Obituary

"For I am now ready to be offered and the time of departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight
I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day and not me only, but unto all them also that
love his appearing.
II Timothy 4:6-8

On Tuesday, August 10, 2017, Phillip Fullwood went home to be with the Lord. He was born in Brunswick County, North
Carolina on the 28th of February, 1951. He was preceded in death by his father Fred Fullwood, Mother Margaret Fullwood, two
brothers, Freddie "Bubba" Fullwood and Donald Levi Fullwood, two sisters Patricia Ann Joyner and Dorothy Faye Mcrae.

Although Phillip was born into this life with a special Learning Disability it did not keep him from being well
known in the city of Newport News Virginia where he was raised. From the elders to the young adults, Phillip
will always be known as a Legend of bicyle riding, pulling his red wagon, collecting cans & loving his Motown records.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, two brothers Emory Lee Fullwood, Ronnie Fullwood (Denise), three sisters Sue
Ricks (Bennie), Dosher Spruill, and Sylvia Howell. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

"God’s Glorious Reception"

God say you getting tired and he did what he thought was best
He put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to me
In tears we saw you sinking, and watched you fade away
Our hearts are truly broken, we wanted you to stay
But when we saw you sleeping so peaceful, free from pain,
How could we wish you back? With us to suffer again.
Humbly Submitted The Family
