Raymond Pearl Nicholas
October 13, 1930 - October 27, 2019

Raymond Pearl Nicholas Raymond was a genuine southern gentleman born in East Rainelle, West Virginia. He was an easy going golf loving man who with his talent in the sport was near professional status in his younger years. Ray had other incredible talents as well. He had natural skills in carpentry, plumbing and electric, and built a double wide mobile home out of a single wide in his 60’s all by himself. Much better construction than that of the typical construction of a mobile home, including a peaked roof over the entire structure. Craftsmanship that even some licensed contractors couldn’t do as well. When asked how he was able to do this all by himself he simply said “one board at a time” with a big smile. He enjoyed bowling, going out to watch a good movie with his wife Mary and dining on the great seafood in Calabash. Raymond is survived by his loving wife Mary Day Nicholas of 29 years, his family and friends.
