Julie and Mary, I’ll always remember your mom’s smile and laugh, her strength and independence, her dignity and kindness. I loved knowing her as my boss at O’Neil’s (or was it Kaufmann’s? May Company?) and as your mom. I admired and enjoyed the home she provided for you and the love she poured into it. She amazed me with her relentless work ethic and her ability to run a department store with excellence. She was an absolutely unforgettable woman. I still make my beef stew with V8 juice and I still don’t use the blow dryer when the oven is on! And I still consider you my sisters. I love you and I’m so sorry for your loss.
