Roselind Ann Berry, lovingly known as Rose, of Jacksonville, went home to be with the Lord on July 22, 2024, at the Warsaw Nursing Home and Rehab. Born on January 20, 1960, in Bellefonte, PA, she was the daughter of the Myra F. Ladue and William H. Fry. Rose graced this world with her presence for 64 wonderful years.
A devoted homemaker and home school teacher, Rose dedicated her life to nurturing and educating her beloved children. She was an avid craftswoman with a passion for crochet, macrame, fabric arts, and embroidery. Her hands were never idle, always creating beautiful pieces that reflected her intricate talent and boundless creativity.
Rose’s greatest pride and joy came from being a mother. Her infectious smile and kind, loving spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a beacon of warmth and comfort, always ready with a gentle word or a helping hand.
In 1981, Rose graduated from Bethany Missionary Training Center in Bloomington, MN, marking the beginning of a lifetime filled with learning, teaching, and sharing her many gifts with those around her. Her legacy lives on through her surviving family: her devoted husband of 43 years, Donald “Rick” Berry; her daughters, Faith E. Berry of the home and Patricia Rose Koons of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; her son, David “Bobby” Berry of El Paso, TX; and her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie “Beth” Koons, Katherine “Katie” Rose Koons, Emma Victoria Koons, and Grace “Gracie” Kelly Berry. She is also survived by her brothers, Bill Fry, Jr., Jim Fry, and Cameron Fry, as well as her step-sister, Tammy Lynn Gelinas-Ivy.
Rose’s family will honor her wishes by not holding services at this time. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit and the love she shared remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Rose’s life was a testament to the power of kindness, dedication, and the unending love of a mother. Her memory will forever inspire and uplift us.
