Russell G. Gray passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024. He was at home with his loving wife, Carrie by his side; he was 63 years young. Russ was born on October 17, 1960 in Rochester, NH.
He attended Somersworth High School. He definitely had a mischievous streak growing up. Following school, Russ enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served for 4 years, some of that was time on an aircraft carrier and he was also stationed in Hawaii, which he grew to love. He always wanted to return there someday.
Russ enjoyed many years as a painter, he took pride in his work. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and loved being on the lake, in his boat with his two buddies, Princess and Cleo. Music was one of Russ’s passions, you could always hear the tunes blasting and him singing along. He loved all his family and friends and spent many different occasions. Outings, Bonfires and Christmas Eve were special times to him.
Russ and Carrie were married in New Hampshire on May 11, 2018. They have been together for 20 years and happily married for six. Russ and Carrie moved to North Carolina to grab some of that sunshine and be close to the two new granddaughters.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Russell Gray (Alana) of California and Alexander Gray (Caroline Crasnick) of Maine; adopted daughters, Becky Prusaczyk (Brett) and Amanda Prusaczyk; step-daughter, Jessica Milev (Matt) of Richlands; grandchildren, Lucy, Remy, Ariel, Adrianna, Addison, and Emerson; sisters, Linda King (Danny) of Maine and Cheryl Mitchell (Scott) of New Hampshire; brother, Steve Ricker and his wife, Pam; many nieces and nephews; and many special friends, one of which was Theresa Moore, who was always there for him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion (Awalt) Gray; step-father, Ed Gray; his three brothers, Malcolm Gray, Matthew Gray, and Clint Gray.
A memorial service honoring Russell’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced by the family.
Words cannot express how much Russ will be missed by all. I know he would say laugh and have one for me. Russ was a Christian and knew he was headed to his final home where his family will be waiting for him. This is not goodbye Russ, just a pause until we meet again.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:4. Rest in peace Russ.

My deepest sympathy. Russell was a truly amazing man and I am blessed to have had him as my friend. Forever loved and never forgotten.
For My Brother Who Will Be Greatly Missed…. If you have time play this song and see him…Freddie Mercury (Queen) those were the days of our lives
‘Cause these are the days of our lives
They’ve flown in the swiftness of time
These days are all gone now
But some things remain
When I look and I find no change
Those were the days of our lives. Yeah
The bad things in life were so few
Those days are all gone now
But one thing’s still true
When I look and I find I still love you
I still love you
Family get togethers won’t be the same, I’ll continue to have one for you until we can have one together again. Uncle Russ I love you bunches, all the bunches.
