Steven Arthur French
March 13, 1962 - July 15, 2021

Steven Arthur French (Frenchy), age 59, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 15, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa R. French, and in March they celebrated 10 years of marriage together. His beloved son, Christopher French, at 30 years old, preceded him into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Sara T. French, was the pride and joy of her Dad’s heart. He was often heard telling Sara that, “I love you BIGGER.”  Steve had a lifelong passion for everything music, but praise and worship captured his heart and drew him closer to Jesus. He was active in many groups, including Port City Community Church (PC3) men’s ministries, Noble Warriors, Iron Sharpens Iron, the Discipleship Series 33, and ToastMasters. Donations to Steve’s memory may be made to Port City Community Church specifying Refuge ministry on the memo line.

A Celebration of Life service will be announced in the fall and will be held at Port City Community Church in Wilmington, NC.

Arrangements are in the care of Coastal Cremations, 6 Jacksonville Street, Wilmington, NC.

Knowing Steve is in heaven and no longer in pain and waiting on the rest of us to get there is a peaceful thought. I know how much you will miss him Lisa but you have a lot of love and support.

Wow my amazing friend Frenchy! I am so sad for the world’s loss of your bright light and so thankful you are at peace and whole. I had the privilege of spending almost 7 years being friends, making music, and supporting one another and I can honestly say few people have better exampled how to make lemonade out of lemons. Steve’s love for God and people was so clear. He had to fight through so much but he never lost his hope or joy. I know it was hard but you taught me more than you will know by your example. Love you brother!
