Steven Ray Faison
May 18, 1956 - December 17, 2021

Steven Ray Faison, 65, of Jacksonville, NC passed away in his home on December 17, 2021 after battling pancreatic cancer. Steven Ray Faison, also known as “Steve” or “Dust” was born on May 18, 1956 to Mae Ida “Sulk” Faison and Ammie “Bruce” Faison in Jacksonville, North Carolina. He attended Onslow County Public Schools and was employed as a bounty hunter, veterinarian assistant, and in the maintenance field at various points in his life. On July 10, 2007 he married his lovely wife Joanne in Jacksonville, NC.

Steve was predeceased by his parents Ammie and Mae Ida Faison, siblings William Charles Faison, Lena Paramore, Lou Harriet Gleaves, Bessie Rankin, Uthman El Marteen, Lena Carr, and Hazel Bannerman.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Joanne Faison; two sisters: Mary Elizabeth Faison of Buffalo, New York, Christine (Ronald) Deputy of Buffalo New York; two brothers: Ammie (Virgia) Faison Jr.  of Jacksonville, NC and Loy Thomas Faison (Bridgette) of Jacksonville, NC; his children: Melodie Reels of Morehead City, NC, Russell Pointe of Buffalo, NY, Sheldon Faison of Morehead City, NC, Sierra McDonald-Carlton of Jacksonville, NC and Sharon (Kim) Boney of Jacksonville, NC; His  grandchildren: Michael Adams of Morehead City, NC, RuDasha Marie Pointe of Buffalo, NY, Shadiamond McDonald-Carlton of Jacksonville, NC, Tyleya McDonald-Carlton of Jacksonville, NC, Kanyia McDonald-Carlton of Jacksonville, NC and Jasmine McDonald-Carlton of Jacksonville, NC; and his aunt Gladys Hill, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Steve will be remembered for his charming personality, and ability to turn any occasion into a celebration.

A Celebration of his life will be held on February 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Washington Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 347 Bell Fork Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540, with Pastor Willie Burns officiating.
