Steven Thomas Sienko, better known as Steve, passed away on August 27, 2024, in Jacksonville, NC, at the age of 67. He was born on March 5, 1957 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Anthony Sienko and Delores (Omilian) Sienko. Steve lived a life rich in love, dedication, and joy.
Steve previously resided in Winter Springs, FL, before making Jacksonville his home. Steve spent his career as an Air Compressor Mechanic, having retired from Comp Air after dedicating over 30 years of service. His work ethic and loyalty were unparalleled, earning him respect and admiration from co-workers and friends alike.
Steve was a man of many interests and passions. He loved riding motorcycles with his buddies, saltwater and freshwater fishing, bowling, grilling outdoors with friends and family, and tending to his beautiful garden. He was intrigued by hummingbirds, watching them fly and feed from his backyard. He was of the Catholic faith.
His love for his family was paramount, and he found immense joy spending time with his beloved grandchildren, Jaxton and Larkin Elliott. He was a devoted husband who loved and cherished his wife, Carole (Storey) Sienko with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering support for each other.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Anmarie Elliott, and her husband, Bobby of Jacksonville; son, Christopher Sienko, of St. Thomas, VI; grandchildren, Jaxton and Larkin Elliott. Steve also leaves behind his sisters, Janice Conklin and her husband, Rick, of Grand Rapids, MI; brothers, Paul Sienko and his wife, Ruth, of Altamonte Springs, FL, Jim Sienko and Tommy Sienko, both of Grand Rapids, MI, and Terry Sienko and his wife, Pauline, also of Grand Rapids, MI. He will be dearly missed by his nephew, Ricky Conklin, of Grand Rapids, MI, and his nieces, Julie Sienko, of Asheville, NC, Amie Painter, of Windermere, FL, Sara Shannon, of Orlando, FL, and Autumn Recinos, of Longwood, FL.
Steve was a caring and dedicated man, whose loyalty to his family and friends knew no bounds. He will be remembered most for his generous spirit, his infectious smile, and the unwavering love he showed to all those around him.
Services for Steve are currently pending and details will be announced by the family. Although he is no longer here on earth, he is “Always With Us.”

There are no words of comfort I can offer your family that would help you get through this. Just know that time helps. Steve was a sweet man, and I’m happy to know him for the time he was here.
Terry, Pauline and Sienko family. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Terry, though I didnt know your brother, he sounds like he was wonderful loving and caring person. Prayers for all. May he rest in peace.
