Thad Charles Bailey
December 21, 1971 - April 22, 2024

An honorable man has passed away. A loving father has been called from his young family. Thad Charles Bailey crossed over from this world to reside with the ancestors on April 22, 2024, Earth Day. He will be forever remembered.

For those that knew him, he had one of the most serious and humorous souls. First to crack a joke, or try make you smile. He was an outgoing but reserved and generous human being. He was a skilled manager with a remarkable memory for numbers.  He found a calling with food during his early thirties and quite frankly became an amazingly diverse chef. He could create almost anything and did for countless people. He volunteered at a Nature Retreat Center and would cook for festivals feeding hundreds of people for each weekly event. He shared his love and caring self with his grill, his knife and honed skewer skills. His creative methods will be missed.

Thad is survived by his daughter Laurel and her husband/Thad’s adopted son Travis. His ward of choice, Lark. His father, Chuck and mother, Nancy.  His older brother, Anthony and his wife Corissa, his nieces Rachael, Sarah and her husband Keith, and many other cousins and friends.

Please find a place in your time to remember him and how he touched your life.

Services were conducted for Thad in a closed format with small family per his wishes.

You were a great man and loving father. Always had my back and were my best friend, even though you were my brother. I LOVE YOU and will forever hold your memory in my heart.

I just heard of Thad and Nancy’s passing and childhood memories of all the times we spent together quickly came back to me. I am very sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
