Trieva (Jackson) Silver
July 24, 1968 - August 13, 2024

Trieva Jeanette (Jackson) Silver, of Jacksonville, went home to be with the Lord on August 13, 2024, in Wilmington, NC at the young age of 56. She was born on July 24, 1968, in Frederick, MD to her loving parents, Dennis Jackson and Leona (Diggs) Jackson. She leaves behind a legacy of inspiration, love, and selflessness; along with many broken hearts.

Trieva served her country honorably for 20 years in the United States Navy before retiring and simultaneously earned her Bachelor’s degree from Caminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii,  and then on to obtain her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from West Virginia University.  She spent her career as an Occupational Therapist, she had an unwavering commitment to helping others achieve their best selves. Her passion for making a difference led her to co-found Leaves 99, a non-profit organization devoted to aiding special needs children. Her life’s work was a testament to her thoughtful and kind nature, always putting others before herself and serving those in need with compassion and grace.

A woman of diverse interests, Trieva was an avid Star Wars fan, as well as the Minnesota Vikings football team. She enjoyed movies, all things pirates and Renaissance festivals. She was deeply involved with her church, the Sanctuary of Jacksonville Non-Denominational Church. Praise Dance held a special place in her heart, and she participated in many church activities, finding joy and fulfillment in her faith community.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her beloved husband of over 33 years, Michael Silver; her children who she was so proud of and loved immensely, Destry and Declan Silver, both of Jacksonville, Dirk Silver of American Fork, UT, George and Kharley, also of Jacksonville. She is also survived by her cherished sisters, Wakeena Jackson of Frederick, MD, Amber Shrensberry of Morgantown, WV, and Cin Wiltshire of Lakeland, FL; and her loving brother, Dennis Jackson, Jr.

Trieva was a beacon of thoughtfulness, kindness, and compassion, always doing for others and loving her family and friends unconditionally. Her life was a beautiful example of selfless service, sacrifice and enduring love.

In accordance with Trieva’s wishes, no formal services will be held at this time. Prior to moving to Jacksonville, Trieva resided in Hawaii, which was a treasured place in her heart as she raised her family there and made lasting memories. This is where the family will return to lay her to rest.

Her family and friends will carry forward her memory in their hearts, celebrating the incredible woman she was and the profound impact she made on all who knew her.

I graduated from TJ with Trieva, and there was never a day where she wasn’t the most pleasant, kind person to EVERYONE. She set a very fine example of living for Christ. Please take comfort knowing she is in absolute Paradise with God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
