It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Virginia Miller (Francis) Moore, better known as Ginger, who left us on July 24, 2024, in Jacksonville, NC, at the age of 51. Born on September 1, 1972, in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of Guynn (Lamm) Francis and the late Ross Howell Francis. Ginger lived a life filled with love, adventure, and creativity.
Ginger was a woman of many talents and interests. Graduating from cosmetology school, she had a passion for doing hair and nails, making others feel good about themselves and leaving a lasting impression on her clients. She enjoyed crocheting and giving the items to others to see them smile. She was also an avid reader, often getting lost in the pages of a good book. Most importantly, she cherished her time spent with her family, creating lasting memories with her loved ones.
Ginger accomplished some of the most important goals she set for herself, all while becoming the best version of a daughter, sister, mother, and friend she could be. Her life was a testament to resilience, self-love, and inner strength.
Ginger’s legacy lives on through her surviving family. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughters, Rachel Henderson of Jacksonville and Jazmin Reneé Rice (Trey) of Charlotte; her son of the heart, Izak Dutcher; her sister, Lacey Francis of Charlotte; and her treasured grandchildren, J’Markius, Semajah, James, Jared, Justin, and Dean.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Chase Sebastian Francis.
Services to honor and celebrate Ginger’s life will be held at a later date and details will be announced by the family. In the meantime, let us remember her as the vibrant, loving, and inspirational person she was.
Ginger’s memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will continue to inspire us all to live with grace, compassion, and an open heart.
