William Heissler, born on August 9, 1947, in Passaic, NJ, bid farewell to this world on December 12, 2023, in Bolivia, NC. At the age of 76, he left behind a legacy of laughter and cherished memories.

Bill, as he was affectionately known, had a diverse work history that showcased his dedication and hard work. He spent several years working in facility maintenance at Orange County Community College in NY, ensuring everything ran smoothly like a well-oiled machine. Additionally, he drove a school bus for Mid City in Middletown, NY, making sure the future generation had a safe and reliable transport to education.

Outside of work, Bill had a few passions that defined him. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, always seeking adventure in the great outdoors. The thrill of car races fueled his need for speed, and he had a special place in his heart for motorcycles, especially the legendary Harley Davidson. Notably, Bill was also an enthusiastic fan of WWF wrestling, finding solace and excitement in the electrifying matches.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Rose Heissler, as well as three beloved siblings: Shirley Kaminski, Audrey (Dolly) Allen, and Roberta (Bobbie) Plumlee. Their memories will forever be cherished by those who loved them.

Left to cherish Bill’s memory are his loving wife, Dorothy, who stood by his side through thick and thin. His children, Lisa McKay, Cynthia Heissler, April Villegas, and his son, William Heissler, Jr., held a special place in his heart. Bill’s brother, Albert Heissler, and his wife, Jeanne, were there to support him throughout life’s journey.

Bill’s grandchildren, Catryna, Mathew, Malinda, Angela, Tyra, Anthony, William, Noah, Mary, and Emma, brought immense joy to his life. Additionally, four great-grandchildren added an extra sparkle to Bill’s world, leaving him endlessly proud and grateful.

While there may not be any notable achievements or memberships to list, Bill’s impact on the lives of those who knew him was immeasurable. He will be remembered for his quick wit, infectious laughter, and the way he brought light into every room he entered.

As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, let us celebrate his life and the memories that will forever be etched in our hearts. May his spirit continue to guide and inspire us, reminding us to find joy in life’s simple pleasures.
